KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
MONEY
It is pretty easy to get cash in Mexico. We would recommend getting cash directly from an International bank ATM (Santander, BBVA, Scotiabank, etc). You can find these at the airport as you exit.
Another option is requesting pesos from your local bank before you depart. It usually takes them about 48 hours to get the Mexican peso ready.
PASSPORT AND PEN
Don’t forget your passport! We also recommend bringing your own pen(they never have pens…). You will need to complete a customs form upon arrival . You will get this form on the plane or as you exit. Fill out the form and tear it in half along perforated line. You will give it to the customs agent AFTER you get your bag.
PROTIP - Do not wear your hat or use your phone in the customs lines. They don’t like that to much…
COMMUNICATION
Mexico loves WhatsApp and we use it to communicate with you during your stay. Most restaurants, taxis, and other business use it as well. We recommend downloading WhatsApp before you visit Mexico. Shoot us a message - we are happy to test it out with you!
ON THE GROUND
Once you arrive and you complete customs, you will go a through two sets of automated double doors. As you pass through the first double door, you see a bunch of tour and transportation companies, some even offering tequila (ignore them - we got you covered). After you pass them, you will go through the second double door, walk about 40 ft, and exit the airport to the left. The ATMs will be on your right before you exit the airport doors.
You have several options for transportation. We would recommend the personal driver or taxi from the airport if you have longboards.
UBER
(5 minute walk)
To get an Uber, you will need to exit the airport area. To do this walk out the double doors to the exterior, then turn left continuing to walk along the airport building.
As you get to the end of the building turn left again and head towards the bridge to cross over the highway. After you cross the highway, you can call an Uber for a pick up near the National Car rental.

TAXI
There is a taxi window as you exit the building. It is just to your right across from the Corona Bar. They have standard prices for to Punta de Mita.
PERSONAL DRIVER
We are more then happy to arrange a driver for you. Just give a call or send us an email. This is probably the best option if you have long boards.
